My goal this summer was to lose 10 pounds and finally get my wedding body back. I am only 13 pounds away from achieving my goal! While that was a clear failure, I did have one small win that made a huge impact on my daily life 

If you are like me, you spend a few frantic minutes of your day flipping over couch cushions and running through the house looking for your airpods, phone, glasses, keys, and a damn mask. Meanwhile your spouse and toddler are waiting for you, and neither are very patient. A month ago I implemented a small habit change- I designated a drawer in my house for all of my daily essentials.  To get the habit to stick I spent 10 minutes emptying my pockets and placing everything in the drawer over and over again. A little excessive, but eventually the habit stuck! I now put all my belongings away as soon as I enter the house, without a thought.  This small change has had a huge impact on my mood. I am never stressed out on my way out the door.

As a bonus, since my phone is put away, my screen time is down 20%! I still go to the drawer and check it... but dare I say this habit has made me a little more present??  This may not be the habit that changes your life, but it will make a positive change for the better.  Plus my wedding body will live on in our wedding album where it belongs.
